We created the new ©CEDIM brand identity together with marketing and communication materials for this forward thinking design college – Centro de Estudios Superiores de Diseño de Monterrey (or ©CEDIM for short). Our journey to winning the contract is the result of numerous teaching, lecturing and workshop visits to Mexico since 2006 where we have been representatives of British Design talking to up to 2000 people at at a time. ©CEDIM’s innovative Director General Michael Garçia Novak saw us talk, liked what he heard and invited us to collaborate on rebranding the college.
After discussions and presentations from our office in London to ©CEDIM in Monterrey, we flew over and spent four days art directing the approved concept via a photo shoot to capture the sense of open space, activity and talent, and reflected this openly in all elements of the marketing materials to communicate ©CEDIM as the place a potential design student would want to enrol, featuring a full page press ad series focusing on individual students supported with quotes on why they valued the college above any other.
