I first came across the photography of Benedict Redgrove whilst reading an issue of Mirage Magazine. His images dominated the pages, playing the driving role rather than the supporting one. His background as a graphic designer has heavily influenced his imagery. With strong tones and shapes running throughout his photography, I particularly love the Bertone series. Here Benedict experiments with lighting and colour to create geometric compositions, which combine well with the architectural surroundings. His work has an uncommonly clean graphic quality, which almost always results in a beautifully stylish image. His specialties include space craft, cars, planes, boats and technology, epic set-ups and close-up still life photography. It is no surprise that he has worked for clients such as IBM, VW, BMW, Audi, Toyota, Honda, Sony, Virgin, BA, T-Mobile, Jaguar, Volvo, New York Times, GQ and Arena.
